GLOW WITH AVA represents my identity, inspiration, and passion. The evolution of my identity includes attempts to understand and bridge the East and West. I was born in Korea, raised in China and attended an international school exposing me to Western values. Skincare has played a big part in this evolution and still does. This is a creative outlet for me to share all my skincare, beauty, lifestyle tips and inspirations to my readers and followers.

I started @glowwithava as an outlet from my mundane and stressful job in a male-dominated field to share my passion and knowledge of the skincare and beauty industry. It was a pure passion project and all I had was an old iPhone 6 that took the worst quality pictures, a pile of sheet masks in my drawer that could rival Sephora, and my passion for skincare and beauty. It has now become more than I could have ever imagined it to be, and I am excited for you to follow along my journey.

I soon realized that GLOWWITHAVA was becoming more than just a skincare content page - it was becoming a source of inspiration for people to start their own skincare journey, a place for my audience to connect to different brands, and most importantly, a place where I was learning how to be open and true to myself. I was learning - that it was OK to leave my finance job to pursue my passion; that it was OK to follow my dreams; that my value doesn’t decrease just because someone can’t see my worth.
